The BRVC provides accurate and smooth remote-controlled volume adjustment for balanced audio systems.

  • Infrared Remote Control:
Features multiple step rates for easy and precise volume adjustment, including a built-in mute circuit.

  • Balanced Line Input Stage:
Utilizes two THAT1200 balanced line receivers, delivering transformer-like performance with extremely high common-mode input impedance. Maintains excellent balance (CMR) under real-world operating conditions.

  • Precision Volume Control:
Employs a high-quality ALPS RK27 potentiometer for accurate, low-noise operation.

  • Balanced Line Output Stage:
Uses two THAT1646 balanced line drivers configured for common-mode offset reduction. These high-current differential drivers are exceptionally stable when driving long cables or capacitive loads.

  • Protection Circuitry:
Equipped with RFI and ESD protection using sixteen protection diodes to ensure long-term reliability.  output is short circuit protected.

  • Power & Control:
Includes a pre-programmed IR remote and DC power supply.
Compatible with Sony 12-bit DAV10 IR codes:

  • Build Quality:
Assembled with premium components and connectors on a 2 oz silver-plated PCB for superior signal integrity.

  • Integration & Control:
Dry-contact outputs follow the power status, ideal for triggering external amplifiers, devices, or remote power controllers (RPC).

  • Advanced Operation:
    Features precise two-speed motor control.

    • Click–Hold–Release: Adjusts volume in fine increments.

    • Rapid Clicking: Enables faster large-step adjustments.
Intelligent firmware provides LED feedback for command acknowledgment and automatically returns to low volume at shutdown.

3 user selectable modes of operation.1 – ultra fine:  18 steps push and release, 100 steps push and hold. This is the default for all new devices.2 – fine: 18 steps push and release, 70 steps push and hold.3 – continuous: 50 steps push and release,  push and hold for continuous.

  • Compatibility:
